Magic coins

Using magic coins is considered close up magic or table magic, because the small size of the coins requires an audience to be close to the performer in order to see effects. Sometimes coin magicians performing close up would set up a large video projector during the demonstration so that the audience can critically watch the magic. This type of magic is considered to be one of the more difficult close-up techniques to master than others because it requires much practice, skill, and grace to perform convincingly.
Several coin tricks include having the magic coins vanish, transfer from one hand to another, penetrate through objects, and visually changing its appearance.  Coin sleight of hand movements use techniques including palming, sleeving, and lapping. These moves are forms of concealment that can effectively hide coins when practiced well.

Although most magic coins are manufactured by several companies with the use of gimmicks in mind, it is not enough to just use the gimmick to achieve an effect. Relying entirely on special devices and equipment may not fully impress an audience. Magicians should be able to produce a memorable and mysterious show by also using presentation and misdirection skills to distract the audience away from the secret gimmick. A performer who is able to master the basic skills can surely use gimmicks to create powerful effects without being too obvious to the audience.
